I just flashed my stage 0 tune and I can say that I am totally in love with it! For those who might wonder if this tune, since it has a significant increase in horsepower, might be stressful for the engine (as I was wondering)I think not. When accelerating between 1/4 and 1/2 throttle in the stock tune, the engine revs high up to the 5000’s to get the necessary power. With the stage 0 tune, the engine only needs to rev in the 3000’s and has much more thrust at these mid acceleration requests. In other words, acceleration feels much more effortless for the engine. No need for high revs at mid acceleration requests, it is using the turbo thrust instead instead. The best part is that it reminds me of my tuned 1980’s 900 turbo in the way the engine feels, more turbo torque, less revs, at mid acceleration. To boot my gas mileage is better. The only bad thing about using this tune is that you will be kicking yourself for not haven gotten it sooner. It makes the car feel like a proper SAAB Turbo. If it came from the factory like this, this car would have been a sensation!

Well, I had to take my car to the dealership today for some warranty work and I detuned. Sad to say, it was a pretty boring drive without the VTune. This tune (stage 0) simply rocks and is unbeatable on all fronts – Price, performance, and awesome customer support.

I had done alot of reading for the first year of owning my 93 Aero for a tune. It basically came down to power it added and functionality of the program. I was looking for more than a handheld unit. I like to be able to diagnosis and log to see problems.
I pulled the trigger and got my VTune Stage 0 January 1st, 2010. Brian is very helpful at all times. I am glad I made the VTune choice.

If you are on the fence (as I was) about VTuning your car, all I can say is “Just do it!” My Aero just “feels right” now- VTuner is just what the doctor ordered for the 2.8 My only regret is the year I wasted “thinking about it.”
